Modern cabins are full of gloss surfaces that scratch the first time a ring or key touches them. Interior PPF is film cut to each of those panels. Leather and fabric get a coating that resists dye transfer, spills and dirt.
Scratched piano-black is the first sign of age inside a car, and replacement trim is expensive. Protecting it on day one keeps the cabin new.
